The first upgrade you absolutely have to do on your S&W SD9VE/SD40VE
This model is for Glock I bought it and installed it on my S&W SD9VE because it is cheaper. The finish is matte, and while normally I would prefer the shiny chrome-alike, it matches perfectly the slide. The installation is easy, and the fit is perfect. The results are simply unbelievable. With it installed taking the slide down is super easy. The ends do not stick out of the frame to extend to get in the way of something, but one can grab and pull without any effort. If you simply have a compatible gun, you should buy this. It is a great upgrade as you will need to clean it sooner or later. If you plan to do any work on the gun, this is an absolute must. I broke my index finger fingernail while fitting the Apex trigger, as you need to disassemble half a dozen times or more to slowly shave ... Works great in S&W SD9 VE and SD40 VE
I put these into my S&W SD9 VE and SD40 VE and not only fit like a glove, but they work very well, are about .025" wider, does not get caught up in my holster, and is now so easy to breakdown each gun. The original ESLLs were almost even with the body of the gun, which made it so difficult to grab onto without difficulty. I also like the aesthetic contrast of the black gun body and the SS slide lock levers... I watched a couple of YouTube videos where I learned how to depress the green spring and remove the OEM springs and install these new springs. It took about 6-7 minutes to replace the spring in the first gun, and less than 2 in the second, so I found the replacement very easy...I put these into my S&W SD9 VE and SD40 VE and not only fit like a glove, but they work very well, are about .025" wider, does not get caught up in my holster, and is now so easy to breakdown each gun. What a difference a few thousandth of an inch make
So just recently got a Glock 23 gen 3 and I have added this to every other Glock I own. Which is now 5 in total. 👆👆👆 First hint. And I didn't think I was going to install the extended levers on this last one. Well as I started to take it down and mess with the Glock I realized I really do need this extension. 👆👆👆👍 If you can take the slide off which this helps one billion percent more, and you own something skinny and kinda long ,(no personal jokes) then you can change this out in about a minute and you will be never go back to stock again. This particular one adds a little flair to my dull factory Glock 23. Like I said I add it to all my Glocks and it is A MUST HAVE addition. So just recently got a Glock 23 gen 3 and I have added this to every other Glock I own. Which is now 5 in total. 👆👆👆 First hint. This is one of the critical areas where Glock dropped the ball! The factory slide lock borders on unusable, annoying at best. The factory lever can be extremely difficult to operate when disassembling the gun. Especially under cold or wet conditions. This, only slightly extended lever solves the problem by making disassembly a snap, without protruding enough to be a bother. I consider this a necessary upgrade for any Glock.This is one of the critical areas where Glock dropped the ball! The factory slide lock borders on unusable, annoying at best. The factory lever can be extremely difficult to operate when disassembling the gun. Especially under cold or wet conditions. This, only slightly extended lever solves the problem by making disassembly a snap, without protruding enough to be a bother. I consider this a necessary upgrade for any Glock.

Well-made, quality product that I install on every Glock I own. Makes takedown so much easier for cleaning and maintenance that I can't imagine keeping the stock part in place when you can upgrade to a Bastion slide lock for so little cost.
