This is a sturdy, well-built guitar stand. I'm comfortable putting my vintage Les Paul custom securely on it all day. However, it's not built for a fender Stratocaster. The way this particular stand is configured it interferes with the Jack and cable from your guitar. If you unplug every time you put it down, it will work for you, but if you are doing stage work and switching guitar is quickly between songs, they're usually on their own channel on the board and you don't stop to unplug. I'm not putting the stand down at all, don't get me wrong. It really is a very sturdy stand at a great price but if you want to leave your Stratocaster plugged in to your amp I would look for other options for that guitar.

It is nice stand but the rubber they used had a smell that was so bad I had to remove the rubber covers on the base of the stand and replace them with black electrical tape. I had left it out side for days but the smell would not go away.
