So for the money these are amazing cases that will protect your LP or LP style guitar from just about any normal transportation abuses. I've used them for Epiphone and Gibson LPs and PRS single cut styles and they fit perfect. Lots of latches (I think 6!) to hold her closed too. The only gripes are the latches a just a bit fiddly to close sometimes and the storage compartment is pretty small, No thick comfy straps in there, but pretty standard for these "guitar shaped" style cases. I trust my USA Gibson LP to one as it didn't come with a case and I will never use a gig bag for any guitar.

overall its nice case for the money, but it has got some issues. first, the edgings do not fit snugly. also i found a gap in one place between edging and plastic. and the plush interior is not as soft as it seems in pictures at all. but for that 63$ that i payed its ok. abs plastic is good and seems built well, and my les paul special fits fine.

$59 and change. Great price for exactly the case I want. This fit my Les Paul solid body knockoff perfectly. I can't say enough good about this case. ABS is the way to go. A wood case will compete with a guitar for moisture and will even draw moisture out of the guitar over time. It's not as much an issue for a solid body as for an acoustic, and I even have humidifiers for those, but I prefer ABS just the same. An ABS case will hold up to, and look better after, a lot of use and abuse. Six latches! I can't figure out why people are complaining about a bit of safety first overkill. As far as those who complained about having to get the latches just right to get them to engage... Take your time. Even then it will take you, what, a full minute to latch the case up? Treat your guitar like a valued possession and it'll stay exactly that. I've been very pleased with all the Musician's friends cases I've purchased and used. I've even got a nice looking wooden case for one of my acoustics because (I was disappointed) Musicians friend discontinued their ABS dreadnought case. I just make sure it's always humidified.Read full review

I have a couple of hardcases; which do their job well enough. With many of the sub 150$ cases it's just 2 parallel surfaces sitting on top of each other being held together by the clamping pressure from the latches. THIS case is like a good school band violin case. It has fully reinforced metal edges. There is a lip that goes around the bottom metal edge that fits SNUGLY into a matching female gap that goes around the top metal edge. The thing has 6 GOOD latches (double the normal amount), 2 keys for the lock, and is very secure. Compared to the classic box/wood style tweed fender hard case that I have; this is WAY more solid and protective at half the cost. Wish I had gotten one of these for my strat. I TRULY hope that Musician's friend doesn't stop carrying "musician's gear" brand stuff because it puts QUALITY items like this in the reach of less than fortunate people such as myself (people that would otherwise be forced to buy an inferior product).Read full review

I was looking for an inexpensive case for a vey inexpensive project guitar. This case seems to fit an Epiphone Les Paul Special very snugly. It has good support for the neck and headstock. The interior is not as soft as more expensive cases. Other cases would have cost more than I paid for the guitar. I have no problem with the six latches. I’m well pleased with the value and protection of my project for the price.
