This was my first time to use one of these, I'm VERY VERY HAPPY with it. I got it to "Char" wood for a project I was working on. SO HAPPY I purchased the one with a self Igniter, SAFER and I don't have to look for a lighter to get it started. VERY well made quality product. NOTHING bad to say about it. This thing is awesome! I use to it eradicate ants and crickets I have in my yard. Scares people because of the jet engine sound it makes. The only con I had was the length of the hose. Wish it was longer. Oh and push starts works everytime if I turn the gas knob on low.

This torch sounds like a small jet engine when in operation, but it is a lot more fun than spraying weeds. I used it to clear weeds and grass from the cracks in my driveway as well as along the edges. I will have to go back over about 10% of the area again to get all of the vegetation, but it cleared the rest in one pass. Overall, a good value.

I bought it because of the snow drifts at my basement door. Before the torch, I would shovel but it was hard to get the snow down to the pavement of the stairway, it would always freeze up, I used the torch to melt all the access snow and ice and put salt on the stairway and it worked as I planned it to.
