excellent for the price, so this was a good value gift that replaces the user's more expensive (worn out On button) model. the user did complain about the product skipping tracks as being too sensitive to incidental abrupt movements, so i guess the product design does not accept punishing use such as up and down jarring movements by Joggers

Works wonderfully if completely stationary. Not very good for walks, even the slightest bump causes it to twitch and the music to freeze for a moment. This would be fine, if it wasn't happening nearly constantly while walking. Much better when being carried by hand, instead of in a pocket, which seems like it shouldn't be necessary. I wanted to give them kudos for the included headphones, but when mine got here one of the two didn't work.

I find this CD player excellent for my needs. I know some people have complained about skipping, but I haven't had that problem at all. However, I am stationary when I use it (vs. using it while jogging), so that may be the difference. My only (minor) complaint is that it seems to go through it's batteries faster than I would like. Overall, I think this is a great product & would recommend it to anyone.

Yes, it is susceptible to skipping when even slightly jolted but, if you're using it on a solid surface, that's not a problem. And it does sound very decent. It would sound better with an upgrade to a better set of headphones (with an 1/8" plug)

It is very inexpensive and the sound is adequate. It has no anti-skipping software/hardware so is pretty useless as a portable device.
