I bought this not only as a soundhole humidifier but to see if it would also work as a sound dampener. The good news is that it does and it fits my acoustic electric very well as a humidifier. But also if you remove the hard plastic insert it can be used as a sound dampening device. This is important because I was not able to find a sound hole isolation dampening device that was small enough to fit my acoustic-electric which is a standard hole size a little bit above 3 and 3/4 in. I will probably buy another..

This humidifier would work well on a guitar with strings at a height allowing the humidifier to pass under the strings. Unfortunately for me, my classical guitar (Alvarez CC7) has a low action which I like very much because it is so easy to play. The Kyser Lifeguard will not fit under the strings so I use it on another guitar with higher action. I rate it a three only because I am unable to use it on the guitar I intended. It works well on a guitar with high action.

Fits perfectly over sound hole and its easy to insert/remove. I was getting some fret buzz at the 10th and higher. Just 2 days on the Kyser Lifeguard and there's no more buzz. Now I use it faithfully whenever I'm not playing. Saved me lots of $$$ on a guitar setup.

When I play with the band it's always with a six string guitar, but if I'm alone up at the mike my Ibanez Dreadnought twelve string comes out, as it's fuller sound backs me well. Many guitar licks that work in one key played down at the nut just don't do so in another, so I go for a capo. I had one just like this that lived in my gig bag for over ten years, then disappeared at a jam session. I've missed it, as capos for a six string, even a Kyser for a six string, just don't work well with a twelve string. The first thing I did after throwing away the packaging was get out my Ibanez and see if this one worked as well as the previous version. It did. The big guitar sounded beautiful, especially when capoing up to F#, which I often do. It worked great for the whole length of the neck, and what more can a solo guitarist want? If you need a twelve string capo, look no further. This one is perfect and arrived ahead of time. You can't go wrong with this seller and this capo. a five for five item and seller.Read full review

I chose the 12 string capo for a wide neck spanish classic 6 string. I needed the reach. It was exactly what was required. It does the job and the spring is quite strong. I recomend this product..its a good simple design that is easy to use.
