Installed in an addition to my home. Central unit was already at maximum capacity so I added this to simplify the project. I elected to install myself as it doesn’t carry a robust warranty like a central system will. Most central units carry a 10 year warranty and most mini-splits carry a 2-5 year warranty. Remember, on hvac systems your warranty only covers the part-NOT the labor anyways. I am highly mechanical and performed every aspect of the install as the homeowner. The reviewer who has the most critical review—gave it a 3 star—wasn’t being fair to Senville. A review of a product is supposed to only pertain to the actual product and it’s performance itself…not FEDEX delaying your shipping or additional supplies for install such as an outdoor shutoff box etc. Obviously if you don’t have a compatible outdoor shutoff you will need one and it will need to be wired to a dedicated circuit in your panel box. This is fairly common knowledge. Additionally, I bought a cover kit for my line set to have a cleaner appearance outdoors. I also put some foam pipe wrap around a small portion of the line set where it meets the unit where their foam wrap came up a little short. You will need to buy an adapter for your vacuum pump (Pioneer brand adapter is what I used). You will need liquid-tite conduit to connect from the shut off to your unit. There’s a great install video on YouTube from DoubleWide6. If you are mechanically inclined this is a super easy install for the homeowner. Performance is great and it’s extremely quiet inside and outside. Very pleased for what I spent. Hope this helpsRead full review

I bought this mini split under the impression it was a DIY project... It's NOT!!! You have got to have a licensed installer with a HVAC license to install it... Or your warranty is no good... And on top of that you've got to buy 12/2 gage wire,20 amp breaker, foundation pad, etc... About another $1,000-$1,500 dollars... I've got really no clue how good it works and don't know how long it will take to have it installed... I've got to find a company that will install it or a contractor... No one I've spoke to yet will install this mini split a bought, because the companies I've spoke to want install it, because they didn't sale it to me... So... I'm a little annoyed with this purchase... If I would've known all of what I know now...I wouldn't have bought it... Just saying... You guys need to let people know this product is not a DIY project and let people know all the extra stuff and money it's gonna cost... Very disappointed... Thanks... XDs✌️⚡⛈️Read full review

I bought a 9000 BTU for my bedroom and it ran great for a year so this year I bought the 12,000 for the living room. No more central air. And the heat pumps are great. I’m a retired mechanic so I’ve done a lot of AC work so it was no problem. I voided the warranty by installing it myself but it’s worth the gamble. You’ll need a vacuum pump? A set of gauges, and a low side adapter. I highly recommend these units and having 2 is great, if one quits I still have another one. When the central air gives out your completely out of business until you get it repaired.

Quiet and efficient, easy to install, great value. Everything you need to DIY install except the main power connection. Warranty only valid if you have a professional connect the refrigerant lines, which is advisable anyway.

This is the second one I purchased, I got the first one from Amazon, but eBay had better prices and I got the second one from eBay. Go eBay you are awesome 👏. This is a great DIY project but look at many installations videos before starting your project.
