this is a very good platform for someone that wants to experiment with an rc crawler without spending a lot of money. it is a very slow crawler which is good for a beginner. as skill progresses it is easily upgraded by adapting parts from the very popular scx10 crawler to improve overall performance. the only downside is that the parts are somewhat fragile if one tries to put in a faster motor or larger tire/wheel combo as parts will start to fail. if left completely stock it will do just what the manufacturer made it to do. another downside is that the purchaser will need to go thru every part to make sure each part is properly assembled since they are mass produced and potential mistakes could have been made in the assembly. this also provides the opportunity to see how the vehicle actually functions and gives the user the chance to see where upgrades can be made.Read full review

This is my first crawler. I have a Slash 4x4 which is great but I had the itch to get a crawler. I looked at reviews of a bunch of crawlers at various price levels. Not wanting to sink a bunch of money into one but also not wanting junk I narrowed my focus to the Everest 10. This crawler gets high marks from a lot of people. So far I like it a lot. Ran just fine right out of the box. As most reviewers state the turning radius is not good and they are correct. Other than that I have no complaints. It's not fast by any means but it does what it is supposed to do - crawl over stuff.

A great product and lots of fun. Built to last, upgradable and user-serviceable. The waterproofing really works too, I've had it up to the fenders in water, which means all the electronics were submerged. I've upgraded mine to 4 wheel steering and the turning circle is MUCH better. The recever mine came with was already 3 channel so I didn't have to use a servo reverser, but it is an AFHDS 1 receiver so it's hard to find a 4WS radio (AFHDS 2A radios won't work unless the radio allows you to select AFHDS 1). Right now I'm just using a Flysky FS-I10 aircraft radio, which is a bit awkward. Also, if you're going to do 4WS, you're most likely going to need more power than the built-in BEC provides. I added a secondary BEC to power the extra steering servo.

First off id like to say I did some serious research on this product and many others like it prior to my purchase. The Red Cat Everest 10 was the one. The unboxing was a serious rush like being a kid again lol. It was awesome at first sight. Then the articulation was insane. I did notice after the first run that the back lower suspension arm was placed on upside down at the factory. Easy fix however it does make me question the care in putting these things together. Just does not look good especially with the Quality Control checked sticker on the bottom. So more than one person is NOT doing there job. The Everest has blown me away as to what it is able to climb and go over. All in all it is a quality Rc low on cost and for sure a total blast to run.
