Tecumseh 640152A aftermarket replaces Tecumseh 631917
I have a Tecumseh 10HP Model HM100 generator with a 631917 Tecumseh carburetor which is no longer available. This Tecumseh 640152A aftermarket worked out great. Put the original linkage butterfly in the new 640152A and rerouted the gas line to attach to the L gas fitting. Everything else fitted perfectly, started right up and ran perfectly. This took 20 to 30 minutes. Delivery came in 3 days.

I have bought several carbs on line rather than take the time to rebuild the old one and had great success but for some reason this one wouldn't work.
It would have been a good value if it would have worked. I was worn out pulling on the starter rope and never get it to run for more than a few seconds. I disassembled my old starter and cleaned it with a cleaning solution and it started after two pulls.and now it runs great.

Chinese junk. Looks pretty, doesn't perform.
I installed this on my log splitter running an HM80. It was difficult to start and when it did it began searching and would not settle down. It also would not idle it would only run at full throttle.I rechecked the installation with no change in how it ran. I picked up a rebuild kit for the old carb, installed it on the machine. It started right up and runs perfectly. There's a reason Chinese boats are called junks. This carb was a waste of time and money.I installed this on my log splitter running an HM80. It doesnt fit.
