I've tried off-brands of printer ink for all of my printers including my Canon, and I've discovered that the name brands work much better, are more dependable, and last much longer than the cheaper remanufactured ones or cheap copies. These Canon ink cartridges work great, and the XL last a really long time. I highly recommend sticking with the mfr's name brand of ink.

I must say, I've been fooling around with re-filled ink carts. Nothing but hassle. Sure I saved couple bucks but printer always show low ink. End up running out of ink with no warning multiple times.
