Vernier Caliper is good for it's price, It can be up to 0.001" off but I was looking for a inexpensive caliper I could take to the store to check dimensions prior to buying items. I cut the last 2" off and repositioned the holding strap so it is easier to carry in a pocket. I couldn't find a 4" vernier caliper except for digital versions. Caliper edges were sharp and needed to be deburred slightly but overall I am happy.

Markings are not very well defined in my opinion, but overall it's a pretty fair product for the price. It is likely best used to gauge the size of something and set the lock screw for comparative sizing tasks. If one is looking to measure something very accurately I would not recommend a Vernier caliper with this type of scale. It would be best to get a digital type of device. I did not buy this one for accurate reading, so in general I'm happy with the purchase.

Decent Calipers at a Decent price. Only one issue at hand. Laser Etched Graduations are a bit fuzzy looking. Some What hard to read as is. I rubbed some dark color finger nail polish into the Etched numbers and that improved the readability some what. Before and After Photos. Over All you get what you pay for and these are what I paid for ! LOL

I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this at first since Chinese products can be hit and miss. After reading other reviews that were both good and bad I hoped I'd get lucky and I did. I was mainly concerned about the "zero error" deviation that some experienced. The one I got was well within 0.001" and I'm very pleased with that.. The markings were also very clean and clear another issue some mentioned. The sharp edges some mention are no big deal since they are at 90 degrees but no burrs at least not on mine. Not a deal breaker anyway. I hope everyone gets one as good as the one I got.

What do you expect for $12??? It does its job but expect +-0.05mm variance. Especially when the marks for zero don’t really line up accurately. Real metal! but sharp edges, and poorly finished machining. If you want a Ferrari spend a $100 on a real caliper. Otherwise a great investment for $12 and will do everything the average person needs.
