As you can see by the picture, I am very satisfied with the Excalibur Bull Dog 355/360. Shooting at a cardboard box, with barcode, at 35 yards! I had to use the cardboard as a breaker because the arrows were going all the way through the target.. I arrived at this after 4 shots...At 80 years old, I decided to order the C2 cranking assist. At the present time, I have a Horton Legend SL 175, a Barnett 360 Ghost, a TenPoint Titan HLX... I think the Excalibur is my favorite due to the speed, accuracy, easy to maintain and reputation... Thanks

Much faster and more powerful (and heavier) than my old Horton SteelForce 150-170 recurve. It's heavier (7 lbs) than the rated 5.5 lbs, add a scope and it's even more (~8 lbs). The accuracy may make up for that. I shot Rage practice broadheads well within the kill zone on a deer foam target from a platform at 50 yards. Field points even better at 55 yards from the ground. Hopefully will be good for turkey hunting (bowhunting area only). When it is shot, there is a distinctive noticeable smell, almost like gunpowder, which is probably from the string running along the metal rail, even with heavy lubrication on the rail and wax/lube on the string and serving. It is also loud even with the REDS bumper system. Acquiring some more rubber accessories for silencing (air brakes for the limbs). The arrows have a flatback nock which is different. There are several helpful videos on Youtube from distributors and users. For the price, it seems like a good deal.Read full review

OUTSTANDING crossbow, life long archer (Both recurve and compound) I bought my crossbow two years ago (This exact model from American Archery) After many years of archery and other sports my elbows pretty much gave in and it was either give up archery or let the doctor do surgery. Rather then letting the saw bones start hacking me up I decided to go crossbow. This thing is scary accurate out to 70 yards (May as well be a rifle) Yes, it is ungainly to carry but once in your tree stand you are good to go. Many a wild hog has gone down over the last two years with this thing. At 30-40 I go right for the head shot so I don't have to track it. Yes, I would still prefer a recurve but that is just the sportsman in me. Tech tip, set your cocking rope length short enough that you have to pull the string back a little by hand. Then all you have to do is stand up straight. It helps if you have bad elbows like me.Read full review

This crossbow didn’t come with a scope, so I got it sighted in. I just shot it in my basement at about 17 yds. Shooting at a 3/4” round sticker hitting it 3 out of 5 shots. I will update it to a 5 if it measures up like I think it will.

This crossbow is everything that I read about. I ordered it after reviewing it on YouTube! It’s much lighter than my old crossbow and easier to carry and handle. I am very happy with my Excalibur Matrix Bulldog!
