A lot of Magic: The Gathering players despise the Iconic Masters booster boxes, complaining that there are not enough powerful and rare cards re-printed in the set or that the print run was too large, but this doesn't really mean that the set is bad! Iconic Masters is a pretty fun set to draft, and if you and your friends open a box together drafting (especially at the low eBay prices that the boxes are currently listed at) you will certainly have a lot of fun, and maybe open a foil card or two of value. Yes, the card stock is perhaps a little thinner compared to the sets of old, but rares with foil stamps add a lot of sense of security that your cards are legitimate. I snagged this box for $144. The MSRP is waaaay higher. The mythics in the set are pretty average with the big one being Mana Drain coming in at $60 currently. Fortunately there is decent value at the rare slot and a few notable uncommons to break even most of the time (never a guarantee when opening product!). I would recommend splitting with a friend and making sealed pools. The sealed format with Iconic Masters seems pretty fun. Anyway, for $144 I would recommend this over grabbing a box of Ixalan at $90.
