Needless to say I've had plenty of reels in the time I've put in fishing. These are the first $100 reels I've owned and worth every penny. My latest, and best to date, $60 reels were Penn Fierce II 2500s. They were great, but started making ugly noises less than a season in. These Revos are still very new, but night and day difference. I've used them literally every day for over a week and a half and caught several fish, some bass and picks over 3lb. Very smooth. Very comfortable. Best thing is the size 20 option. The 30 held the same amount as the Penns, which in my opinion is too much. Wasted line that never sees water. I'm fine with the 120/130yds the 20 has to offer. If you really feel the need for an excessive amount of line, get the 30 which is rated for 175yd of 8lb mono (both reels were rated using 8lb mono and a braid rating stamp as well, not sure off hand), which is what I exclusively use. Couldn't be happier! Read full review
