This is a short read book that explains the causes of poor health and obesity in our country. Following his suggestions I have lost 7 lbs. in 10 days, and I started out with normal weight and BMI. I do not consider this a diet book because it is based on science and explains how evolution has changed our diets therefore our bodies over thousands of years. It is well worth the read if you want to remain healthy through your entire life.

My doctor suggested the book. I bought it and started reading immediately. The book is really a lifestyle change not a diet. Some of the suggestions are very drastic, while others (from what I have read so far) make really good sense. I have skipped around, although it does suggest to read the whole book before starting the changes and thus, when I read the book completely I will start the changes. I am keeping a journal so that I can review what I eat and start to keep track of realizing that some foods are really unhealthy. That way, when I start this book and the changes in my lifestyle, it will not be such a shock. At one time I was quasi vegan (and felt the best I have ever felt), and I feel that this lifestyle or evolution is very much the same thing. Not a miracle cure book, it offers basic explanations to help most people who need help with an at-home diet plan to understand and control dietary carbs. It's vegetable-diet information is well written and supports the overall guidance for reducing body weight. I've purchased several other copies of this book for family members and friends.
