living and biking in Rockford, IL i bought this. i also own 2 other different model pepper guns. this one holds more spray than any other and has a better range. it fires a stream instead of a mist so you better hit the attacker in the face, but it goes every bit of 20'. my only complaint is that the picture was of the early all aluminum model and i received the new plastic model. it is a little big to pocket carry, but i added a I.W.B. conceal carry clip and wear it in my waist line. it is fairly thick but as long as you are not wearing a tight shirt it doesn't print too bad.

Beware, this product can give u a false sense of security! The gun works but u cant depend on the carriages, which is why you buy the gun in the 1st place, I tested it and instead of a long thin stream of thug stopping spray is this short, sudsy like foam, much like shaving cream, so I thought, oh it must be old, so I brought a brand new cartridge, (which are kind of expensive by the way) & got the Exact Same Results!

I will definitely feel more secure having this with me when I feel I'll be somewhere that I should carry it. It's a little heavier than I expected so I won't use this for running, but I do have other small & powerful devices that I can use for that. I got the practice water cartridge so I was able to see how it fires however it ran out quickly due to the size and power. That being said, I loved how powerful it was, and was direct and you could shoot from a good distance. I would love to have one just a little smaller and lighter but this is a great item. Also, love the led light that first turns on we you pull the trigger.

This is a great product and makes me feel more secure when hiking on the local trails, not only for devient people, but for Bobcats and Mountain Lions as well. I practiced with the water cartridge and it was easy to get proficient quickly, just point and squeeze the trigger. I also bought one for my wife (Pink). I have a leather holster and my wife has a nylon holster. I recommend the nylon because the leather grips the gun too tight making it hard to extract quickly.

Bought this for my daughter that goes to college and works after classes so she drives back home in the dark.
