Originally released in January 2006, Alan Jackson's PRECIOUS MEMORIES album was created as an ode to his mother who, throughout his career, consistently requested that Alan record a gospel album. So, Alan recorded PRECIOUS MEMORIES with 15 traditional gospel hymns, never anticipating that anyone, besides his mother, would be interested in the project. PRECIOUS MEMORIES has since sold 1.7 million albums and is currently out of circulation, until now.

    GREAT GOSPEL TUNES DONE RIGHT

    If you're like me, you do a lot of traveling.. I love good ole' Gospel tunes that we all learned in church, and always loved Alan Jackson.. Being a musician myself I have always admired his stand to keep country music 'country' unlike many of the new artists who turned the Country Western scene into rapper krapper alternative... If you love gospel tunes, Alan sings them in the old fashion church style.

    This Alan Jackson's CD has literally brought "precious memories" to my life. Beautiful hymns sang in the traditional way, with the wonderful voice of Alan Jackson.     Wonderful Old Time Hymms

    I watched the Alan Jackson gospel show when he sang all the songs on his cd. It was so comforting and provoked so many memories of my childhood growing up in church singing those songs. I decided I wanted the cd because it was so inspiring. I would highly recommend this cd for anyone who loves classic hymms.
