Overall, a great chair for the price. I chose this chair because a wanted one that had simple lines and not all the strange padding and wings. The foam padding of the seat and back are not overly thick, but provide a good amount of comfort. The chair does tilt back and I would agree with other reviewers that the action is a bit stiff but it is functional. The "leather" has a black matte finish. Vertical height adjustment is about 3" and not the 4" as advertised. My only complaint about the product is the assembly. Putting on the back was a challenge as two of the four holes on my chair did not align well and it is a snug fit between the armrests. In order to get the back's mounting screws to align properly, I found that it helped to not fully tighten the 4 screws holding the armrests until the back was in place with its 4 screws partially threaded. I did appreciate that a spare screw was included as I cross threaded one in my attempt to get the back on.Read full review

Attaching chair back to arms was a big challenge. I had to forego using the instructions and attach back to arms BEFORE attaching arms to chair seat in order to get bolts to align. Now that it's all together, I do like the tilt feature and chair is very comfortable. So far the gas lift is working nicely. The one thing I don't like is when the tilt is locked, and you try to lean back, the tilt arm clunks. To avoid the clunking sound, I just keep it unlocked. Other than that, no complaints so far.

Quality chair at an excellent price. Every piece fit perfectly, and all attachment bolts tightened without stripping. The only small challenge was attaching the back and seat with the arms, but that was not a real big deal. The heart of the chair, the lift mechanism, seems to be of good quality. I may get one for my wife's computer. I would recommend this product.

Chair is okay, just okay, not as comfortable as I had hoped. I am a construction supervisor and not in my chair all doay so it works for me but only after I made some modifications to the chair myself, the back leans way too far forward not just straight but actually pushes you forward in the chair
