This pump was installed in my sump when I moved into my house in 1993. Dont know how old it was then. The only problem I have had was the switch failed about 7 years ago. The switch is easy to fix and in expensive. It finally failed from ingesting a small rock from the bottom of sump pit that jammed the impeller. Mounted new pump in a bucket with small holes to let in the water, and keep out the rocks. I replaced my original with the same model, they still make the same one.
