Excellent lens overall. Sharp wide open at 1.4 from right to left, and even at long distances. AF is fast enough for general people photography. The one issue I found (on A7 III, even with current firmware) is that sometimes the camera will miss the focus point it's aiming at, but only under a certain circumstance: photos where the subject's head is around the same size as the small Flexible Spot size (like in a large group shot). This is also too small for Face Detection, which is why I was using Flexible Spot in the first place. Sometimes the camera will completely miss seeing the subject, even if the head is directly under the focus point, and will focus on what's behind them instead. This error is clearly visible in the viewfinder, so it's more of an annoyance than something that will ruin a set of photos. Just move the focus point down to their chin/neck, and everything will be fine. The subject is so far away from the camera, even at F/1.2, their entire body is in focus. Beyond that, there's only good things I can say about this lens. It's even light for what its size would have you to believe. A complete keeper. Read full review

I tested it and the image is good not to be excellent but has a good quality I like the bokeh and the cast color , however the n motor struggles in some shoots when you try to focus some objects, not always happens I have for two days and I'm pleasing with it.

I purchased the Rokinon 35mm last year and it is just phenomenal. I used it on my previous A7R II, it holds the resolution for the 42mp camera perfectly. The auto-focus is spot on and even Eye-AF works like a charm. For the price compared to the Sigma and Sony's other offerings, you cannot beat this lens in value. The lens is a little heave but that was never a problem for me.

At first I loved this lens. Took it to the big apple and opened it up for some crazy beautiful bokeh. Then the dam thing wouldn't focus to save its life. Just hunted and hunted of just totally gave up oof. Id have to turn off the camera to make try again. Price is cheap and lens is fast but don't try to focus with the ring its a joke. I have the 85mm Rokinon Vitronox and love love love that lens. Maybe I got a bad one but seems like its an issue. So much so that I'm looking to buy another 35mm

Very sharp at 1.4 I've found. Working professional quality for sure.
