This is the first acoustic bass I’ve ever owned. I was excited to see it at such an affordable price point and am not disappointed. It even plugs in and has a full EQ. I’ve only had it 6 hours or so but it sounds nice and plays nice. The action is a little high but I’ve also only played an acoustic bass a couple times in my life. For the price and me not looking for a work horse, just something to noodle with in my office, I’m very happy!

This is NOT a "full size" bass as described: it is a SHORT SCALE/30". It is NOT "ready to play" out of the box. Mine arrived with several high frets, buffer/polisher burns in several areas that give the paint a hazy appearance in spots, scratches elsewhere, flaking clearcoat at the neck joint, rattling tuners that needed to be tightened, and a D string that had so much tarnish it looked like it had been on a 5-year-old bass, even though mine had a sticker (with glue that left a glob of residue) that said it had been built 20 days earlier. If you are hoping your under-$100 purchase will buy you a great bass for the money, it WON'T. It buys you a very cheaply made short-scale mass-production toy of an instrument. Spend a little more money for an inexpensive used big-name acoustic like the typical Ibanez or Dean.Read full review

It's the absolute cheapest acoustic bass I've found so of course expectations weren't sky high. Still detunes slightly still but that's no problem. I have only one major problem with the instrument: the metal frets are very poorly filed down on the edge of the neck, so, when you're sliding your hand up and down, it's as if twenty little blades stick out just a bit to slash up your hand and finger(s). Once you get past it, it's easy to get on with your playing.

It's not even worth 10 bucks. Cheap parts. Tuner doesn't hold. Binding fell apart the minute I opened it. Took along time to sand down 3mm off the saddle. Not easy to play. Sound very cheap (I got the Markbass amp so we can blame the amp.) Better off buying some used basses off Craiglist for a little more money, but you got to test drive the instrument before buying. Well, one can't expext too much of a bass that cost 80 bucks, but seriously, DON'T BUY IT.

This is a good utility bass, action is a little high but soft enough to enjoy playing, and at the price you don't have to feel bad when it takes a dive. Haven't tried plugging it in yet, but as with most, that was not the reason I got it. Not really ideal for a beginner said action might turn off a novice, and there were a few minor cosmetic issues but nothing horrible. This is an excellent beater for the price, just don't go in with any false expectations and you will be pleased.
