Good quality
The mirror ball is better quality than I thought, being that it has an inside made of light metal and the mirrors are strongly adhered on. This is the least expensive mirror ball available anywhere for the size and I definitely recommend it. It's effect in lighting up rooms is insane!

Low quality styrofoam ball
I've had other disco balls that had a rigid core. Unlike what another reviewer stated, this ball is not a metal core. This is a styrofoam core with a metal rod through the center. My disco ball, although well packed, is flattened out on the top and bottom, making it less than a sphere. It also feels like the mirrors might fall off of the styrofoam. (It's not a very good surface for adhesives to bond to.) I guess you get what you pay for.I've had other disco balls that had a rigid core. This mirror ball is awesome! It looks exactly like the product photos and was packed very well when it arrived. It does not come with a motor but they are inexpensive. Perfect for what I need it for! Great bargain for the quality.

No shattered pieces. It's a hollow styrofoam ball. The bottom gets a bit spacey to fit the mirror pieces but it looks way better than a different brand I've bought. I'd recommend this
