4.7 out of 5 stars. I've installed 3 decks into my cars thus far - all have been 90's pickup trucks (quite simple). I had a panasonic cheapie which cost ~$89+tax for my Ford Ranger from wal-mart in 2008 Imagine my sentiment nowadays when the same $90-110 price range can buy you a DVD/BT/SD/MP3/AUX/USB player.... mind blown. I bought a refurbished unit from "stereo-needs" who offer a 3 year warranty and Liz promised her word on it as well. I made certain to use a crimp-style waterproof connections between my harness and the BOSS head unit, I spend time near the ocean and snow. I did not exert any excess pressure on or around the head unit as I'm sure this could damage the flip-out screen's motors. Thus far, after owning and operating the unit I can say that I would absolutely recommend it. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because it hasn't blown me away. It's simple. The EQ modification is limited. The menu interface is simple and can also feel like a wormhole. the DVD playback is definitely 1080p, looks as good as it possibly can. The SD card formatting is very simple, (uses a .mp3 format or .wav) for music playback.. I haven't used any GPS or SD Video yet but I suppose that is a nice feature. One could easily bypass the parking brake by using a wire to wire puncture-style connector (attach the parking brake wire to the black ground wire) All in all I'm happy with the purchase. The installation should be done with care in mind - I'm sure that fuses and shortages are what cause these units to fail (if they do) I bully my belongings and live a rough lifestyle, so far it hasnt broken even though I am button mashing and storming through features.. Doesn't really lag at all. Every once in a while the CD drive will make a whipping sound just when I turn on my car.. as if it's failing to spin the CD. sometimes the DVD screen will come out with LCD lines or will not reproduce a picture.. I just reboot and the screen is back to normal.. Read full review

1st deck would make a squealing sound intel it wormed up. 2 months later it stoped working. Just tried the same unit again and more problems. 1st on is terrible feed back. 2nd one is when the screen opens and closes it makes a crackle sound. Boss not.
