A pure nickel wrap string with round core
If you want a vintage tone with warmth to tame the biting edge off some guitars prone to it, there's not much finer than a set of Pure Nickel wrap DR strings. It also cuts down on string tension and wear and tear to the frets. Marketed toward "blues" players, I'd re-vise to market towards a player that wants vintage overtones and easier fret feel which nowadays, could well be just about anyone without a Floyd Rose system on their guitar.If you want a vintage tone with warmth to tame the biting edge off some guitars prone to it, there's not much finer than a set of Pure Nickel wrap DR strings. The greatest Telecaster strings ever!!!
These are the best sounding strings I’ve ever had on my Telecaster. They have all the thump and cluck on the low strings that you would ever want. The “piano-tone” thing. They respond almost like an acoustic guitar does with a slightly scooped midrange and a really clean fundamental. Play a G chord and hammer on the B on the A string? Killer, and in tune. Great strings!!!

Best strings out there
I play with the finesse of an intoxicated gorilla. I'm also very lazy, and don't change strings as often as I should. For me, DR's are more stable out of the box, last longer and sound better than other strings. They're all I use.

You get the manufacturing process of DR 's specific string core winding technology the way they make their High Beam bass and guitar and guitar strings. DR pure Blues strings are as bright, loud and clear and well made both material and manufacturing wise as electric guitar strings can be. I suppose you could use thesewith distortion but with the clarity of these, playing in clean channel'd be 'purest way to hear emNickel electric guitar strings are the bright sounding electric guitar strings.
