I was about to throw away my pressure cooker because the seal or gasket was worn, and I bought some other brand names aftermarket, and they were made very flimsy and leaked the first time I tried them, thank goodness Seneca trading had the real gasket or seal from the Presto company and their gasket or seal was much better rubber and thicker and it worked from the very first time that I used it. thank you!Great Product!!! Seems like it will work
I have not tried it yet. Had to use a knife to open the package. But that probably is good, else the plug would have gotten lost during shipping. Tried to put it in sideways but it would not fit that way. If you don't have water in the bottom of the cooker it will melt and make a mess when turned on high. I will let you know in a couple of months when I fire it up. seems to look ok! Probably will work.I have not tried it yet. Had to use a knife to open the package. This Pressure Cooker Seal Replacement kit is an exact fit for my particular model of Presto Pressure Cooker. It also comes with a replacement over pressure plug seal. It was very easy to follow the directions that came with the seal kit and now my pressure cooker is working as well as new. Don't throw your old Pressure Cooker away and buy an expensive new one. Install one of these kits and you'll be happy again with your old one.This Pressure Cooker Seal Replacement kit is an exact fit for my particular model of Presto Pressure Cooker. We use our pressure cooker several times a week. We really like the convenience, flavor, and time savings of pressure cooking; however, the sealing ring wears out and needs to be replaced annually. Doing the math, over a ten year time period, the total cost of sealing rings and pressure plugs quickly approaches $100. A sealing ring is very important for the proper functioning of a pressure cooker. This ring is perfect because it is the genuine part and this makes quite a difference.
