This is very likely not a real Amazon remote. It works fine with my FireTV, but every time I turn the TV on it says that it's going to update the software on the remote and it never can complete. The software ver. on this remote is 7 and the remote it replaced was version 15. I contacted the seller and he gave me a couple of options (return for refund or partial refund to keep it.) If you are looking for real hardware this is not it. It works well enough, so I'll keep using it until it dies.
