    Great little camera

    This is a great camera. I already own the XF300 and XA10 so it just made since to pick up the middle brother. The image quality is very good and although it getting to be an older camera, it is still competitive with the newer cameras. Also, the infrared feature is what I wanted the most. I've purchased two infrared lights, the 40w and 20w, from the guys at Ghost Light and these two work well together. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

    Great Images

    This camera takes great video. However, be aware if you plan to do any editing in Adobe Premiere Pro there are transfer issues. Visit the Adobe web site to see the proper settings when handling these specific types of files.

    HD and excellent picture. Great Canon product

    Great in low light. Easy to use menus, easy to operate camera. Wish it was SD cards for capture, but the CF cards are pretty decent too. Perfect for HDMI video broadcasting to our encoder.

    Big Camera in an unassuming low profile

    I shoot a lot of run and gun projects and I bought the XF100 to be my third camera for typical event capture. It's so small and easy to use, It would be my first choice for grabbing b-roll. I'd throw it into full auto and away I'd go. The image was always sharp and well exposed. And the thing is so small and unassuming, people didn't seem to notice me that much, so my footage was usually very candid and natural. I shoot in classrooms and several times I asked my wife to use this camera to make sure I always had a good medium shot of the action. This was the perfect camera for her. When she didn't have to worry about the technical issues of exposure and focus she became very good on capturing the story. I call this a big camera because it has a very robust recording format.
