Awesome value for a EDC knife you can depend on!
Nice, tight, best fit and finish,,,in a trapper that won't snap closed on your fingers on either blade. This is the first "double" locking trapper I've bought and liked it so much that I BOUGHT TWO MORE! I normally carry a Stockman (4") or a flipper that liner locks the blade open. I really like Boker knives for good steel that holds an edge and is put together like a high quality jeweler built it. An unmatched value at this price!!!Nice, tight, best fit and finish,,,in a trapper that won't snap closed on your fingers on either blade. Boker's QC has fallen off a Cliff
Typical sloppy Chinese assembly & fit. I don't understand how a company like RR can have such nice knives coming out of china, yet Boker, (a highly respected old brand), can let the same basic process be done so poorly...Zero snap in blades upon closing. Lots of wiggle in both blades when open. Blades are not pinned squarely so they actually touch each other when opened and closed..(they are literally canted a few degrees respective to their location within the handle.) Grip scales are poorly fit and finished. Bolsters are uneven and poorly pinned. Finish on the blades and bolsters looks like it's half done. Double lock backs like this are getting difficult to find. Boker Doublelock Trappers are great
It is a trapper with 440C stainless steel, dyed bone scales and both blades lock . Both locks work and lock tight like a bank vault, no folding up on your fingers. The 440C stainless sharpens like a razor and stays sharp, it's so much better than cheaper steels most put in their blades.The bone scales are attractive and real bone. I give Boker Doublelock trappers to people I care about and even though I build knives I carry one It is a trapper with 440C stainless steel, dyed bone scales and both blades lock . Excellent knife for the price!
Knife was sharp right out of the box! I keep a razors edge on all my knives. I have carried this knife all week and it maintains it edge as well as my older Case carbon steel ( CV) knives do. Touch up on the blade is easy with my hard Arkansas stone. I USE my knives all day every day. I am very pleased with my purchase!
