Correct chain length for proper operation
Those complaining about chain slop, ghost shifting, and a weak spring, might need to replace or shorten your chain. I have a 28/38/48 triple crankset, with an 11-28 8 speed cassette. Chain has been shortened to 112 links. The cage should be slightly less than vertical in the mid range position on both the crankset and cassette. Select 4th gear on your cassette, with the middle chainring on the crank.
