Pros - EXTREMELY FAST, easy to control, easy to jump, easy to work on, comes with lipo batteries and everything else you need. Well worth the Money Cons - Tire glue used was kind of weak, blew two tires first day. Simple re-glue. A few screws were not tight enough and started backing out. Take it apart and locktite important screws. The diff's had some play in them and should be shimmed to make them longer lasting. Wing mount breaks easily. Overall - I think this buggy is awesome I would recommend it to anyone. It is incredibly fast out of the box I could not believe it. I bashed it pretty hard and have only broken wing mount and bent a drive shaft (crashed hard). Nothing that would disable the car it still works fine. I've ordered a few parts and will have it mint soon. For the same price the RedCat Monsoon XTE seems to be worth checking out though.Read full review
I have only just got this red cat, but I can tell you It is very fast. I live in, well, near Denver Colorado and we just got a foot of white powder ,and I have a large field next door so I had to try it, it works great, it is so fast and the tires are large and grab just enough snow, it stays on top of the snow with just a little smooth hopping, kind of like a dolphin swimming. I was l was cracking up it was so fun. so far it's the most fun I have had with it. hope this can help you. I like mine. P.S. nice setup

I've just got in involved with RC cars. I have helicopters and drones but I wanted an electric, brushless motor car. Scanned the internet and settled for the Red Cat. I couldn't have made a better choice. It's fast, quick, responsive and durable. Being it's the first RC car I've owned, it's taken a beaten. So far I snapped a control arm pin. Not bad for losing control and slamming a curb. A couple of bucks put me right back in the game. I just ordered a wheelie bar for it. There's so much tourque just wants to flip over when I snap the throttle. The control of the vehicle is awesome also. Holds the road well, corners, drifts like crazy and always seems to land on it's wheels. Well balanced machine. Not knowing much about them, friends told me Red Cat is the scale to be followed. Every one buys less expensive cars and tries to make them into Red Cats. I have friends that have been racing RC cars for a long time and one told me. Nice Car Tom, Your first RC car and your already in the game. Sweet I think I'm gonna stick with Red Cats. Oh, one more thing. Ordering parts are fast and easy.Read full review

All the Red Cat haters on the forums who made me skeptical of this purchase who say Traxxas, HPI, Duratrax, Losi, Associated etc.... - SHUT UP!!! Most people going after these want a good quality play toy. This thing is AWESOME!!!! VERY FAST and very DURABLE! I have beat the holy living helk out of this thing and it just keeps taking it. The batteries last like 45 minutes of just backyard bashing. I bought one for me and one for my 10 year old son. He's doing great with it as I really told him over and over to lay off the throttle a bit starting out and after flipping the thing on the first blip of the throttle he understood and did well. One came with a bad servo. I used my traxxas e-maxx so we could play - worked perfectly with the electronics. I called Redcat, two days later I had a new servo. Nothing, except the body has broken. I have had to rescrew a shock together with some lock tite. other than that fantastic! I paid $300, yet I feel like I'm getting $500 performance when looking at the stampede and brushless e-maxx. If you're serious about racing I suppose there's more upgrades on a traxxas and stuff, but if you want a fun truck without breaking the bank, it does not get better than this. Nice thick aluminum frame, tires that are wearing fantastically with a lot of asphalt driving. There's a bunch of videos online showing this thing jumping off 30 foot cliffs into big rocks and having no issues which is what convinced me to give this a try - and it is as durable as the video showed. There's all the speed you want. Not sure how fast, at least 50, I don't think I've reached top end, I get a little nervous with the cars on the road. It looks cool, handles everything awesome, a lot of great features for the price, Just go for it! Oh, you may want a second charger or faster charger to get out and going sooner. Man don't know what else to say, it jumps, lands, and just flat out flies. It even does cool wheelies and flips over jumps and stuff. If you're hesitating, figure out what you want it for. For fun? Go for it. All parts are available and cheap. For competition racing- not sure I've never raced, but I suspect you could modify this to something worthy of competition. Good luck :)Read full review
The Redcat Earthquake 8E is stupid FAST! When you buy this truck I would suggest a few extra purchases. A better Li-po charger. Spare parts list; axle or two, servo saver or atleast the upgraded steering linkage MPO-11, body mount, a diff (just in case), wheelie bar and a spare body ( i've used one from Proline that was made for a Savage. Just take the measurments of the car and read the details of the body.). The truck is not bad I love it, it just sucks waiting for parts to come in the mail so when you buy a part buy atleast two! I would also suggest getting a ESC programming card to fine tune the esc. Stay up on the maintenence it will continue to be a tough truck. Revised; 4/25/11 after running this truck on two 2s 50c/100c 5000mah lipo and tuneing the esc and adding hopup parts I still I have more down time than play time! As a side note this a good truck of coarse if you play hard your maintence needs will also increase!Read full review
