  • Colorless Tsukuru Taxaki

I could very much identify with the protagonist Tsukuru since my early life in my 20s paralleled his pains, solitude and rejection. This book hit home….

  • Haunting slow burn.

It took me about one hundred pages to get into this novel, but once in, I found the story compelling...right up to the end when for me the story fell flat. It may of have something to do with the writing style of Haruki Murakami...wordy and a pace that moves slower than is ideal for me. That said, the story sticks with you...haunting. If nothing else, read the book and re-write the last chapter to suit yourself.

  • color filled and colorless

I am just starting this novel and find myself falling down another rabbit hole into a world of a writer who is fast becoming the astrologer who maps the stars I find myself reading both night and day
