    Good Quality IR Thermometer

    This is a low-cost semi-professional product, that provides reliable, accurate readings. It's easy to use and quite rugged; it's literally a "point and shoot" device, that gives instantaneous readings that are accurate enough for home or semi-professional use. The display is easy to read, and easy to understand. There's really not much that can go wrong. Best results are obtained when the beam is perpendicular to the face whose temperature you want to read. The only "complication" is setting the emissivity. While there is a guide, getting the right emissivity setting for any IR thermometer is the same process; it's just a "best guess".

    As Good As Any

    I have bought many heat-guns in my career and they all seem to be about the same. I have finally wised up and stopped wasting money on expensive units. This one us a respected brand and works as well as any sort a decent price.

    Good brand and accurate if you understand emissivity values and set correctly.

    Much better and more functional than cheaper models. Recommend this model if you don't need absolute laboratory accuracy.

    Must have in every tool box

    The Klein IR5 12:1 Dual-Laser IR Thermometer is an excellent product for the money! I would purchase it again. The 12:1 sensing ratio is accurate per my simple tests. The 12:1 dual-laser defined sensed area is much more useful in pin-pointing which surface temp is being measured, as compared with the many lower-cost IR Thermometers on the market. The additional functions of MAX, AVG, DIFF, MIN are very useful.
