ridiculously stiff assisted release mechanism
The only problem with the Kershaw Showtime is that the assisted flipper mechanism is ridiculously hard to release. I've done everyting, including adjusting the pivot, lubricating, flipping it dozens of times, making sure the blade is properly centered, partial releasing and reengaging the blade at least 200 times. The flipper tab still is so stiff sometimes that it hurts my index finger. Other Kershaw knives don't have this problem. Some reviewers comment that it loosens over time. I guess I will just have wait a few months to see.The only problem with the Kershaw Showtime is that the assisted flipper mechanism is ridiculously hard to release. Acceptable but hard to open.
Everything is acceptable but the assisted opening feature is very stiff making one-handed opening hard. Tried to adjust pivot but did not help.
