    Melodic, Hardcore/Punk at its finest........

    Most of the punk/hardcore style music you find today is really "weak" in my opinion. It lacks passion. It lacks aggression and conviction. Punk wasnt nesessarily supposed to be "produced" and "cleaned up". It was an attitude, born from oppression & frustration-of the purest strain. Well, these guys have somehow brought life back to punk! RISE AGAINST have found some way to bring it all back...The aggression of Black Flag and DOA. The piss and spit of Wattie & The Exploited. The sour hostility of DRI & the Cro-Mags...its all here!!! If you like your music FAST, HARD & ANGRY with a snarl and curled lip, check out these guys. They are the heart-beat of the fathers of Hardcore. other RA titles: REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE and SIREN SONG O/T COUNTER CULTURE...

    Not Fall Out Boy

    Despite what the other reviewer said, this CD is not like FOB. I think Rise Against would be ashamed to be called similar to FOB. This is harder punk rock, almost to the point of hardcore. Rise Against is a great band, especially if you're looking for great lyrics with superior instrumentation. The singer's voice is odd at first- kind of raspy and weak sounding. But after a few listens, this CD will become one of your favorites- trust me. Notable songs are "The Approaching Curve," "Chamber the Cartridge," and "Ready To Fall."

    Freakn awsome

    Yeah i agree with "immecool" it sounds exactly lyk Fallout Boy with a mans voice instead. Just lyk Gyroscope sounds the same as disturbed. if any1 sees "immecool" punch him in the face 4 me and for Rise against. They r nothing like Fallout Boy amd r heaps betr. They would b ashamed 2 hear they sound lyk Fallout Boy..... Awsome cd.... buy it buy it buy it...
