A Sink Stopper That works
I ordered an after-market sink stopper that had the same "STP-SS" model number but was too small to effectively stop the water from draining immediately. So, I ordered this same model sink drain stopper only this one had the In-Sink-Erator name associated with it and on the packaging. It seems to work fine. It was almost twice as much money cost wise but what good are cheap drain stoppers that don't work? Didn't Get The Job Done On My Sink
Nice looking InSinkErator drain stopper, but (for MY use) didn't stop my sink from draining. Using this product, my sink basin only held water for about 5 to 10 minutes. Luckily, I purchased a plastic, all-black, non-metal InSinkErator drain stopper from another Ebay vendor and THAT drain stopper works perfectly. The only reason I rate this product so low, is that it didn't work FOR ME. I'm not saying it's a worthless product. Best drain stopper
I actually ordered this product for my work because the ones that the managers were ordering were the tradition type of drain stopper that has the holes in them and that you need to put in to a "lock" position in order for them to stop water from draining. But those become faulty with very little use and then either fall apart or become useless to hold water in the sink. I had used this particular drain stopper that they are selling here on Ebay before but I purchased it at a local restaurant supply store. They are about half the price here on Ebay so I ended up ordering two of them. They are very well made and do their job perfectly. The only thing is that when they are brand new they are a bit of a challenge to push them in to the drain hole because the rubber surround is so grippy lol. ... But, I do have to say that my InSinkErator garbage disposer is quite old (probably 10 years and then some), and the original stopper lasted until a couple of months ago. Then the rubber gasket finally came loose. I figured that it would be easier to find one on eBay than call around or even drive around locally to find one. And I was right. Very good price; quick shipment; probably I didn't pay any state sales tax. So, I found the product brand spanking new, and the process very easy. I'm a happy camper. I have to say that I was amused by the three questions above. First, because the original one lasted so long, I know that it's durable. But, is it powerful and quiet? Those questions simply do not fit ... No idea why eBay asked me to review this product because it's totally noncontroversial.
