a "Feel good" book! :)
THis is one of those feel good, make you believe again books that the world and people are not all a bad place :) It's funny, it's entertaining, it's soulful - it's so many things. It's a wonderful read. I have read all his "made into movie novels" but mmissed this one, and am glad I picked it up! I think the charcters are not only likeable, but believable - it could be any one of us. Life throws us curveballs - this books is about taking chances & learning to live and love again. 5 stars!THis is one of those feel good, make you believe again books that the world and people are not all a bad place :) It's funny, it's entertaining, it's soulful - it's so many things. I was given the sequel to this book, "At First Sight," for Christmas this past year, but couldn't find "True Believer" in my area. Nicholas Sparks is my very favorite author & I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. If one reads "True Believer," it summarizes "At First Sight," so there would be no need to read it. Glad I waited for a fellow eBay person to put a good copy out(NEW)for sale. Now I have all Mr. Sparks' books in my library & have read them all. I really liked this book. I love the writing of Nicholas Sparks anyway. I got this to read as a airport book. I needed something to read on the 2 day trip to take my granddaughter home. This was great. It had the mystery and the love and no violence. It has elements of the south and super natural happenings. It also has the Big City Boy trying to prove that none of it is true and the sweet little country girl who is tough as nails. I really enjoyed the book.I really liked this book.
