Item is as described. The DVD, "Edison's Frankenstein" from 1910 is the first ever adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel to film. As the movie is now 114 years old, it is expected to have some deterioration. This version is most likely the best one that will ever be available. The seller delivered the package quickly and the item was well packed. Very satisfied.

  • "Frankenstein" (1910) version. Excellent piece of cinema history.

This very early presentation of Mary Shelley's classic novel is in fact the very first version brought to the screen. It is a short film of only about 13 minutes so there is not a lot of plot development. However, it is able to represent the story in an excellent fashion. Ok, the movie is 114 years old. Don't expect perfection. The tinted parts really helped this presentation, however. In fact, this version is the best one I have seen. The seller did a good job of packaging and sending the product out. It arrived ahead of schedule. I am pleased with the DVD-R and its quality. Please note, this is a DVD-R. To my knowledge, this film is in public domain and there are no fancy "restored" versions available. Get this one and enjoy a piece of history.
