If you are doing minimal downspout work in aluminum then this tool does pretty well. The slip fit in most downspout "turns" is 2 inches. This tool will do a maximum crimp of 1.25 inches, so make sure you have some self piercing screws to hold the pieces together. For the money it is a pretty good value as it does the job for which it is designed. BUT don't expect a whole lot from it.

If you need to fix or replace your down spouts, this is the tool so you can crimp it and make it fit. A tool I saw the pro's use and it is a must for your tool collection.
