45/70 needs, Needs, NEEDS a good crimp. There is no finer die for this than the Lee factory crimp die....period end. Whether you are a single stage press guy, or a progressive, this die make the final step in your reloading easy and sure.

this is one of lee's products that just works great! puts the factory crimp on your reloads so that all loads have the same starting pressure. easy to use. crimp pressure can be adjusted to suit your needs. works real good re-crimping over exisitng crimp groove on pulled military bullets such as 6.5 bullets, which i also have and use inaddition to 3006, 308, 30-30, 260rem and now this 45/70 unit.this is one of lee's products that just works great! puts the factory crimp on your reloads so that all loads have the same starting pressure. easy to use. crimp pressure can be adjusted to suit your needs. works real good re-crimping over exisitng crimp groove on pulled military bullets such as 6.5 bullets, which i also have and use inaddition to 3006, 308, 30-30, 260rem and now this 45/70 unit.

Lee makes good quality dies at less cost than others so they are a great value! This die works great for crimping shortened 45/70 cases for use with the 325 grain flex tip bullets.

This works better than the regular crimp die that came with the set. Especially when crimping a rifle cartridge where the bullet doesn't have a cannelure. Makes it easy to crimp without crinkling the case.
