This is an excellent dvd; it's informative, interesting and factual. For those who have only heard of this Great Depression Era, it provides an insight into the times, the people who were employed by it, and it's accomplishments. Interviews with those who worked in it, introduce us to the hardships of the programs. I would have liked to have more of the work programs identified in the dvd; that I feel is it's major shortcoming. I bought it, and an glad I did; you shouldn't be disappointed with it either.
Incredible documentary! Contains interviews with actual Civilian Conservation Corps workers, subject experts, and film footage from the 30's. If you're a fan of the CCC, it doesn't get much better than this!

I wish history class was this intriguing. I found this doc so truly enlightening and enjoyable. It gives you the complete public program from beginning to end and how it shaped our country. I can see why it would do our country some great good to bring back such public works. Jobs and improvements for all. Loved it.
