The First One I Have Had
I have never had one of these models before but have owned many other Sony Walkman products. This is my favorite. It is heavier than other models but makes up for that the stability and ease of use. The sound quality is very good and is easy to control even the volume control is a little stiffer than some other Sony products. It prevents you from accidentally turning up the volume when you are walking. The many pluses on this model far out weigh the few slight minuses. The best prortable CD player you can get!
I had a old Durabrand Portable CD player before this one and the sound quality I thought was good til I heard this and it made it sound horrible. My Durabrand CD player skipped when I moved and never had a sound button that provided deep bass. This Sony D-SJ15 Portable CD player is the best quality, well made, G Protection Anti Skip is the best thing! Now I can finally practice my dancing, ice skating and even walk with no problems!!! It has the best quality HI FI stereo sound that ipods, portable CD players and MP3 players will never have, plus a PCM program that sometimes fixes bad dodgy CD-Rs and makes them work professional, last a life time with sound and no slow gaps, but it depends on the CD-R and how it was burned. I will never trade this CD player for a ipod or MP3 player, for ... Yes an ipod and MP3 is a lot smaller to carry around and on some you can look online, but you can use a cellphone, laptop or computer to do that! It isn't so bad! It comes with a strap if it has one, or you could put it in a purse to hook around your waist like I do while ice skating, walking, and dancing. It is so convenient for me to also tune out music I don't like or unwanted noise while traveling. It has a pretty loud volume control, and with my Sony neckband headphones, it sounds like you have your own personal stereo system that when you take the chance and buy this portable CD player, you will get rid of whatever other portable CD players, ipods or MP3 players you may have, and just want this for your music enjoyment, as the sound quality is like none you can get! Even the portable CD players they are selling in the stores today, this will never compare to them! The ones in the stores today only have a anti skip with minutes, meaning it will not last, but this one it is forever when you have it set up for it. All you do is open up the player, and you will see it! Please buy this, and you will be amazed!!! ENJOY!

Previously I used Sony's D-FJ61. Purchasing 2 of them used, the volume control never worked. They would last about 1 year before they skipped and were unreliable. This sports model (also used) is much heavier duty (and heavier). It seldom skips from scratches, the hold switch is next to the other controls, and the volume dial is easily found. Very sturdy and the lid locks shut with a well fitting clip. This unit is also thicker than the standard player. Excellent product.Previously I used Sony's D-FJ61. My old Sony was in perfect working order, and I still have been enjoying it since I bought it new. Then it went down the hiway @ 6o miles an hour. I mourned its loss. I'm very pleased to have another one thanks to eBay. It will spend countless hours snowboarding and motorcycling with me. The player came well packaged and quickly. And it works as nicely as my old one.
