The Ruger ready dot designed for Ruger MAX-9 will not work if you have a CA compliant Max-9 hand gun. Unfortunately, i found out after I purchased it. Buyer beware. Otherwise, it seems nice and will work on another gun that i own. Seller might want to update their listing to show that it is not compatible for CA Max-9 guns.
