They even flash to let you know when they're floating or wet, but they're not underpowered HTs. These radios can actually put out five watts of power. Battery does not hold its charge.
Ugh. The radio's battery will not hold a charge. The display keeps saying "Low" and once in a while it makes an alert sound that is pretty alarming when I'm kayaking. I really rely on my radio when I'm kayaking, so I'm very disappointed that this one will not hold a charge. The cost of the replacement battery negates the savings, I thought I would get from buying this radio.
