Fixed a utility compressor leak
I bought this item to fix a faulty relief valve on a California Air Tools stationary compressor. They had set the pressure switch to shut off perhaps only 2-3 psi lower than the pressure the original relief valve would trip at. If you even looked at it funny it would trip, and it slow leaked all the time running the tank empty overnight. I did lower the switch pressure a bit, but it still had a slow leak. There was no way to fix it, and their warranty services are rather iffy, so I just replaced it with this one. Works perfectly, no issues, no leaks, no nuisance trips. Determine if you need BSPT or NPT pipe threads. (BSPT or NPT is stamped on the valve).
Excellent quality but don't make the mistake I did. I didn't notice that the faulty one I removed from a Taiwan compressor was stamped BSPT (Brit/Asian standard pipe threads). This is NPT. (US standard pipe threads). They look similar but are not compatible. Mis-match won't seal tight.
