Great grabber with a couple of cons....
This Unger Rugged Reacher Grabber is definitely heavy duty. Seems well built and strong. Didn't break during my first few minutes of use, so it has that going for it. This is a great product and should last for a while. Besides, it has a lifetime warranty. I love the way the shipper packed the product - wasn't the best way to protect the product but it was a mystery as to what was delivered. With protective packing on both ends and the pole exposed in the middle. Looked like a bar bell set. Alas it arrived unscathed in perfect condition. I guess the shipper didn't have a long box. Ok now some things I noticed that other reviewers did not seem to mention, or I just didn't see. So, it's a heavy-duty product, and in order to be heavy duty, it's made with better material, like metal. and ... This Unger Rugged Reacher Grabber is definitely heavy duty. Thus, unless your buffed, you're gonna get fatigued using it. This thing is heavy! And it gets heaver as the day progresses. Its long at 42" this is great I'm 6" tall and it reaches down to the floor without me having to bend/hunch over. Now if I grab something and transfer it to like a trash can. Works Perfect for this. If you want to use it to retrieve something... Well, now you might run into an issue. For as when you bring it up it to grab the item from the claws - you might not be able to reach it! You will have to bring it up and pull your elbow up behind your head to get it up far enough for your other hand to reach the item in the claw. Meanwhile you have to maintain pressure on the trigger/handle to hold the item in the claw. Unger needs to put a lock on the trigger so you can let go of the handle so you can bring up the claw closer to your body without dropping what you have picked up.

Heavy but make good.
Product is too heavy and puts a lot of strain on your wrist while using it. You have to use 2 hands it seems and that does not make it very efficient.
