Not for everybody
I ordered this in order to get a straight chuck to use on a vintage racing go kart that has inner tubes that are parallel to the axles & in really far. This chuck is evidently made for large trucks, etc. that have the air hose used for long periods of time. It grips the threads on the valve stem & is very difficult to release - so air is continuing to go in while fighting to get it off the stem. Luckily I was using a tank w/o enough air to blow up the tube. For those who like that gripping feature - this is fine. But if you want to just hold it on long enough to bring pressures up a little - don't order this. I ordered a much less expensive design that doesn't have the locking feature. Tired of Messing with inside dually tire valve, this thing worked great and now I use for everything I own except my motorcycle tires. Much better than the slanted chuck.
