This hot water heater operates by pressure. After you install it and put the batteries in it in order for it to fire up you have to have hot water on. Otherwise you may think the product doesn't work. This product was installed by a professional for $100 and my pipes were converted from tank to tankless for about $225. Plenty of hot water so far for my home. Gas and water usage down. So I expect cheaper bills.
