Product Information

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - The fourth book in Diana Gabaldon's acclaimed Outlander saga, the basis for the Starz original series. "Unforgettable characters . . . richly embroidered with historical detail."-- The Cincinnati Post What if you knew someone you loved was going to die? What if you thought you could save them? How much would you risk to try? Claire Randall has gone to find Jamie Fraser, the man she loved more than life, and has left half her heart behind with their daughter, Brianna. Claire gave up Jamie to save Brianna, and now Bree has sent her mother back to the mysterious Scottish warrior who was willing to give his life to save them both. But a chilling discovery in the pages of history suggests that Jamie and Claire's story doesn't have a happy ending. Brianna dares a terrifying leap into the unknown in search of her mother and the father she has never met, risking her own future to try to change history . . . and to save their lives. But as Brianna plunges into an uncharted wilderness, a heartbreaking encounter may strand her forever in the past . . . or root her in the place she should be, where her heart and soul belong.

Great book in the Outlander series

If you're a fan of Outlander, you will like this book. Although I read the first book years ago, I just recently started reading the subsequent books in the series. I've really enjoyed Drums of Autumn and am looking forward to The Fiery Cross.

  • Obsessed

I love the outlander series, my favorite books so far were the first three.Drums of autumn is probably my least favorite just because I'm not a big fan of roger and Brianna's relationship, I find myself reading (just to get through it) and not really paying attention to the early chapters that were focused on their relationship. Otherwise it was good.

  • Fantastic!

Terrific author, Diana Gabaldon. This is one volume of eight in the series Outlander. Love the story and the characters. I bought this book used at a very good price, and the book was in good condition as described.

  • Another Great book from one of the very best Authors.

There are two problems with this book series (1) Ms Gabaldon says it takes three years to get the next one written and (2) the friends I loan them to do not return them. So I've purchased another set of "Outlander" book series. Truly one of the greatest adventure, historical, romance and love, intrigue and war stories ever written. What a great story... these books and this author are worth the wait. Larry, Dover, DE
