The first chair I ordered arrived damaged, but Madison Seating was very helpful and sent a replacement at no cost within a few days. The chair is comfortable and seems to be in pretty good shape but is not open box or like new- it has some normal wear and tear but that’s to be expected at this price.

Chair came very quickly and is in better than expected condition. A few scratches consistent with light use. No paint smell. Upholstery is perfect and arm rests and casters are new. While I would not call this “new open box” as the production date of the chair is from 2011. It has been expertly reconditioned and is well worth the low price paid. I will purchase another 5 start product very pleased !!!!

Like others I could smell paint when opening the box. The chair was also poorly packaged. Not sure if it's truly an open box item or if it's refurbished. But the chair does look almost new and it is functioning as intended. For spending 1/4 of what these chairs cost brand new I'm very satisfied with it. Also received it in 7 days from when I ordered which is good.

I must say that the team at Madison Seating is top notch.. Amazing customer support, very prompt. The chair arrived extremely quick and packaged perfectly, the chair was just as described, used but basically new and the price beyond reflects that. I had a issue with my chair not working properly gas cylinder and reached out to support and to my surprise they went above and beyond any expectation to fix the solution and made it absolutely hassle free in fixing the issue. Recommend buying here. A+

Chair was priced nicely compared to new and looks great out of the box. No idea if it's actually Open Box or Refurbished but it looks as good as new so I'm fine with it. Local FedEx was a nightmare and contacted MS to ask for help even though it's out of their control and their timely responses reflected that. Would definitely buy from this seller again (And hope for UPS delivery. Haha.)

Item was listed as New - Open Box. Item received was refurbished. Seller just told me too bad and that I should be happy I got a good price. Could not disassemble to return. Now have to deal with credit card company. Wouldn’t have minded a refurbished chair if that was what I ordered. I paid a little more thinking it was not a refurb. Buyer beware. Smelled like spray paint out of the box and not sure how well new foam will hold up compared to manufacturer original. Was heavily scratched as well.
