A 'HEAVYweight', but powerful
I chose this model over the new AC300 system due to the weight factor. The AC200Max weighs over 60 pounds which is more than enough for me (but the B300 battery weighs much more). And it is a lot larger in life vs the advertised pictures. If you purchase this unit you will need to be able to lift an appreciable amount of weight unless you buy a cart / dolly to move it around. However, the weight is a small price to pay in exchange for lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry and its accompanying longevity. I also like the fact that it can be app controlled so if issues arise with the display, you can still view and access the unit's features on a mobile device (bluetooth only). I also like the concept of firmware updates for this unit. I bought this mainly for emergency preparedness / ... I chose this model over the new AC300 system due to the weight factor. Camping or home backup generator.
I purchased a slightly used AC200MAX, It in great condition and works great and does everything it was intended to do. The selling point for me was the generator can be expanded with additional B230 batteries or B300 batteries. Wether it's camping or home backup power the AC200 MAX has it covered.

Great for use as a UPS, and its portable if need be
This thing is the least expensive way I know of to provide backup power during outages.I like that I can use it as a UPS and if needed I can put it in the truck and have power wherever I need it
